Today’s jigsaw is a 250 piece Wentworth puzzle called “Greek Vacation”. This puzzle was actually a gift from me to my parents. Now they’ve solved it I borrowed it back to try out my idea for Puzzling Beats with a nice small puzzle!
Choosing sounds for the beat inspired by the image was pretty easy for this one. I found the Showboats kit from the Elastic Thump expansion, and used the Dream Wave instrument for the lead.
I always really enjoy Wentworth puzzles. The thick wooden pieces with their unusual shapes are very satisfying to slot together. The image is a collage of magazine clips which meant there were surprise areas of text to discover.
Wentworth puzzles are expensive, but if you find a picture you love then I definitely recommend trying one. They’re just so much fun!
