“Surfer’s Paradise” by Eurographics (1000 piece)

Today’s jigsaw is “Surfer’s Paradise”, a 1000 piece puzzle made by Eurographics which I received through my Life of Puzzles subscription.

The surf boards made me think of Hawaii and a song called Pineapple Princess which I’ve been learning to play on ukulele recently.  So I started by recording a sample of me playing that song which I split up and then paired it with the Surf Kit from the Crystal Daggers expansion and the Warung Beach kit from Indigo Dust to create the music.

I was delighted when I opened the bag for this puzzle and discovered the weird shaped pieces! The surfboards were pretty easy to complete but then the top half of the puzzle was rather challenging with large areas of similar colours. Even the crazy shapes didn’t seem to help with the solving very much, but even when progress slowed down it was good fun and kept me entertained for about 7 hours over 3 evenings.
