Today I have the new Duets library from Native Instruments. This is the latest in their Play Series which blend two sounds together, in this case vocals and keys. Taking the word Play to heart that’s exactly what I did! I played with a bunch of presets until I had something I was enjoying listening to and then chose a puzzle I thought suited it, the Lovely Tiger puzzle by Unidragon. I also used some drum patterns from the Coasting Kit in Neon Drive.
This jigsaw was really good fun. It was the first non-Wentworth wooden puzzle I solved and I loved the unusual shaped pieces around the cute animal whimsies. The colours are vivid and the bold symmetrical artwork was really fun. It was also surprisingly tricky for so few pieces!
I didn’t like the piece of sack cloth in the box as that left little fibres all over my puzzle board, and the wooden box doesn’t stay together very well so it has to stay inside the rather plain cardboard for safety.
These packaging issues didn’t detract from the joy of solving the puzzle though and I’m looking forward to solving more from Unidragon in the future.
