Ever heard any Japanese hip hop? Me neither but the new Concrete Sun expansion from Native Instruments seems like the perfect option to pair with this wonderfully bright “Origami Meditations” puzzle by Ravensburger.
I enjoyed exploring the new expansion and eventually settled on the Tama Kit for todays beat. There are lots of vocal samples in the kit, but I didn’t want to blindly use words I didn’t understand, so I used the Translate app on my phone to check them first!
This puzzle had a lot of bright colours and some areas of text which made it easier than I was expecting. Apparently the fit wasn’t quite tight enough to withstand my attempt to move the puzzle so I didn’t get to make a stop motion for this one.
Concrete Sun has some interesting sounds and I’m really impressed with the setup of the kits I tried out – a lot of them already had side-chaining set up for the kick drum, and the correct keyboard set to match any samples.
